In July 2015, Yutaka Kikutake Gallery opened its doors in Roppongi, Tokyo. As modern art finds increasingly diverse modes of presentation, the gallery serves to support artists who seek ever newer ways to express themselves, contributing to the growing heterogeneity.
Since its opening, the gallery has been representing Japanese leading young artists who are internationally active such as Nerhol, Norimichi Hirakawa, Kouichi Tabata, and Erika Kobayashi, and has been holding about 10 exhibitions a year. Working with art curators and critics, the gallery has been devising projects from a critical point of view and regularly holds group exhibitions inviting artists from not only Japan but also all around the world. During the exhibition, the gallery invites curators and critics of the museum and artists to give lectures, to strive to deepen the significance of art of today together with visitors.
