We believe that the obsession with materials and techniques is essentially the origin of the Japanese art making process.
Even before the modern era, when there was no concept of art, there were excellent artists, but we believe that their works were the result of their commitment.
The concept of art has been introduced to Japan from the West since modern times, but the attitude of Japanese artists at that time also seems to have been based on "Monozukuri". In the same way that the creation of Buddhist statues in Japan has changed from obsession to a rich and original form of expression, Western painting has undergone a quiet transformation into a uniquely Japanese art form. In the same way, Western paintings have been transformed into uniquely Japanese works through quiet changes.
And graffiti and outsider art, in their obsessive nature of expression, also contain the concept of "making things".
We would like to promote new expressions born from the obsession with "monozukuri" by dealing with contemporary and modern Japanese artists as well as artists from abroad who have something in common with us.
