Artist
2006 Graduated from Kyoto Saga University of Arts, Oil Painting Department
2009 M.F.A., Kyoto Saga University of Arts, Kyoto, Japan
Currently lives and works in Würzburg, Germany.
Every day is filled with things and emotions that cannot be contained, such as the beauty of something, daily impressions and shocks, feelings of the changing times, accumulation of past memories, and thoughts of the future, and the world sometimes becomes so intertwined and tangled that we almost lose sight of its true nature.
By exploring the periphery of such a world, she hope to create works that gradually bring us closer to the center that we want to cherish.
It seems to her that there is a deep unconscious connection between the changes in body temperature and brain activity caused by certain events and the emotions that accompany them, and the emotions that respond to the light, color, temperature and sound of certain natural phenomena, just as people have connected these relationships since ancient times.
In her abstract works, She explores the affinity and common sense between the inside and outside of the world, and create visual phenomena caused by matter on canvas.
As a technique, she has been exploring the expression of light, the source of vision, for a long time.
In her recent works, she tried to express the nature of light waves and grains by layering translucent and fine particles mixed with acrylic emulsion.
In addition, She is searching for a way to create a memory that is different from the flow of time, as if a moment in time is repeated over and over again, with several separated surfaces and depths.
When She draw lines, she tries to create a sense of swimming around in the space, and to pursue lines that allow me to feel the moment when she can free herself from the things that are defined outside.
In the end, the work becomes independent from her experience and memory, and She long for the moment when she can be with something that she has never seen before, but that she misses.

Gallery

We aim to be a gallery where not only art professionals but also the general visitors can enjoy the exhibitions and at the same time purchase high quality works.
I lived in France from 1992 to 1999. During this time I travelled around Europe, North and Central America, Australia, Africa and Asia. I also spent a year in Paris in 2003, learning how to run an art gallery. While there, I got to know many people involved in the art world and became aware of two main issues.
The first is the question of how cultural globalisation can coexist with the unique attractions of each region. The other issue is the lack of progress in arts management in Japan compared to Europe and the US.
At Gallery OUT of PLACE, we focus on these two key issues in our management of the gallery. We hope to introduce up-and-coming artists and talented artists expressing deep philosophies and ideas, which will have a strong impact on the viewer's mind and bring about a rich experience.
For twelve years from January 2009 to April 2021, Gallery OUT of PLACE TOKIO was established in Hiroo (in 3331ArtsChiyoda from 2014) as a Tokyo branch to present the current state of contemporary art in the Tokyo metropolitan area. From May 2021, we closed our Tokyo branch and moved our base to Nara. As we continue to organise exhibitions and events, we hope that OUT of PLACE will be a place where different cultures and personalities can interact and fuse, and where new and universal expressions can be born.
The name of the gallery, OUT of PLACE, is derived from Edward Said's autobiography of the same name. We would like to emulate Said's idea that those who have no sense of belonging anywhere are the ones who can create new paths and new values.
